Wunderwasser is a domestic fountain—a source of water framed and suspended on the wall. It reinterprets the washbasin as an object that brings water back to the centre of everyday life, recalling its importance and quiet sacredness.
Designed to inhabit unconventional spaces—a corridor, a living room, a bedroom, a studio—it introduces the presence of water where it is usually absent. In doing so, it also encourages a more conscious use of resources, promoting the everyday consumption of tap water.
At the same time, the object becomes a vessel for display. Inspired by the historical idea of the Wunderkammer, it offers a space to host and frame small, meaningful objects.
The use of travertine reflects a deliberate return to a material traditionally associated with fountains, reactivating its cultural and architectural memory within a domestic context.
