The beam is the central 'backbone' of the project. On the front of the table you can clearly read the section which is both decorative and absolutely structural. I like objects in which the structural and 'mechanical' element, and therefore necessary, is also the focal point that gives character and recognisability.
A sophisticated system of hidden joints and hardware make this table very light visually with clear references to tables of the past but only possible today thanks to CNC technology.
